This Capital
Campaign aims to raise the funds for the new buildings to serve our
Church and Community. Every member is invited to participate by
making a pledge or contribution to the best of his or her ability.
The gift of each and every family is integral to the success of our
Campaign.
The gift plans are provided as a suggested guideline when
considering your pledge. Please consider the pledge plans carefully
and select the one that fits your family's financial situation. Each
family is asked to consider a pledge of $5,000 payable over three
years. If your family is able to give more, we encourage you to do
so. You may make your pledge payments monthly, quarterly,
semi-annually, or in anyway that best fits your needs. A pledge of
$5,000, with a ten-percent down payment of $500, is $125 per month
for three years; or just $4.17 per day! |

Can you Sacrifice? |
|
|
AS YOU MAKE YOUR GIFT,
PLEASE REMEMBER ...
|
|
* |
Make checks payable
to "Osceola Christian Church Building Fund." |
|
* |
Indicate the
payment plan that best allows you to pay your pledge balance. You
will receive periodic reminders according to your payment
preference. |
|
* |
Payments should be
made over a period of 36 months or less. A longer period may be
arranged if necessary. |
|
* |
Payments may be
made by direct debit. A special authorization form is
available for those who wish to pay by this method. |
|
* |
Pledge payments are
in addition to your regular offertory contribution. The Sunday
offertory collection pays for the day-to-day operations of
the church, while your pledge in this campaign will be used
specifically for building our new church, modify our existing church
and fulfill our obligation with the “Expand Our Territory” campaign.
|
|
*
|
Pledges are not
legally binding, but rather are an indication of your intention.
|
|
* |
Pledge payments are
deductible for those who itemize their taxes. |
|
|
A Request for Special Generosity
Everyone is asked to prayerfully consider how their gifts can
reflect their gratitude for the gifts that God has given us.
Individuals who are financially able to pledge $10,000, $15,000,
$25,000, $50,000, $100,000 or more are asked to make such a gift to
this campaign which is vitally important for the future of our
church. |
|
|
|
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS AS YOU MAKE YOUR GIFT |
|
|
The
Tax Benefits of your Generosity
Federal and state laws on income and inheritance taxes encourage
charitable giving. All contributions to our Campaign are deductible
for those who itemize their taxes.
In addition to monetary gifts, contributions of appreciated
securities, real property, or other valuables are welcomed. The fair
market value of securities or property is deductible. Given current
market conditions, donors should be aware that if they wish to
donate stock that has depreciated in value, it may be fiscally
advantageous for them to first liquidate that stock and then donate
the cash they receive. Consult with your accountant to make sure
that you obtain all of the tax benefits of such a transaction. In
cases of substantial gifts of property other than marketable
securities, the IRS requires an appraisal. Gifts-in-kind,
estate bequests and charitable remainder trusts are other types of
contributions that donors might consider.
Because each situation is unique, we urge you to discuss various
gift options with your family and possibly your financial advisors
to determine what type of gift would be most beneficial to you and
Osceola
Christian Church. |
Matching Gifts
Many members of Osceola Christian Church may be employees or retirees of
companies that have a matching gifts program. Many companies will
match gifts made to educational facilities. A matching gift program
may allow a donor to double or even triple the size of their pledge
through employer contributions.
Simply contact your personnel office for the appropriate form,
complete the donor portion, and then forward the form with your
pledge card to Osceola Christian Church. We will then complete the
form, return it to your company, and then we can all watch your
generosity grow!
Please contact the Office for additional information on
matching gifts. |
|
|
Your Gift is Personal and Confidential
Names are never listed. This is done in an effort to
preserve confidentiality. We hope that each family will make their
gifts prayerfully and joyfully, as together we all work for the
success of our Campaign.
The decision of how much to give is a personal one that must be
considered carefully. Financial circumstances differ for each
family. Only you can decide what you can sacrifice for Osceola
Christian Church. Remember: not every family can make the
same size gift but everyone can make the same sacrifice. |

"It is like a mustard seed that, when it is
sown in the ground, is the
smallest of all the seeds on the earth. But once it is sown, it
springs up
and becomes the largest of plants and puts forth large branches, so
that the
birds of the sky can dwell in its shade."
